Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup

Split Pea Soup 5 "Seriously the best split pea soup I've ever had." -Hubby When that phrase the first thing out of someone's mouth after savoring the first bite of something you prepared, you are stoked. When the sentiment is maintained throughout the meal, you know you stumbled onto something great and you should scribble down what you did so you can recreate it next time....

Tuna Melt

Tuna Melt I firmly believe that food cravings are dictated as much by our mood and the weather as by our current attire. Today, for example, has been cool and cloudy. It's no east coast storm day, but I've had one of those bone chills you just can't shake all day. And, I've been in gym clothes hoping that I'll get in a workout before the day ends....

Spaghetti Squash

I am a warm-weather girl at heart. Heat? Love it! Humidity? No problem! I love spending all day by our bathwater-warm pool in one of those floaties that allows you to be part of the in-pool party without actually getting wet – and comes equipped with a cup holder for my water – or ice-cold adult beverage of choice a homemade margarita, beer, sangria! No pool? No problem! The lake is equally awesome! You know that song “Pontoon” by Little Big Town? It’s a country song. It’s fantastic. And, it’s my favorite. We don’t have a pontoon, but if we did, I would definitely reenact that song every weekend. (I know you’re dying to understand its fantastic-ness so just go iTunes and download it. You can thank me later). ...
